Tuchel Concedes League Title After Devastating Defeat

MUNICH, Germany (AP) — Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel has accused his players of betraying him following the club's humiliating 5-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. The loss effectively hands the Bundesliga title to Leverkusen, who now lead Bayern by eight points with just four games remaining.

"I feel betrayed by my players," Tuchel said in a scathing post-match press conference. "We had a clear plan for this game, but they didn't execute it. They played like strangers, not like the team that won the treble last season."

Tuchel went on to criticize his players' lack of effort and commitment. "They didn't show any heart or desire," he said. "They didn't play for the badge or for me. They played for themselves."

Bayern's defeat was their heaviest in the Bundesliga since 2009. It also marked the first time that Tuchel has lost three consecutive league games as Bayern manager.

The loss has thrown Bayern's season into chaos. The club is now out of contention for the Bundesliga title and faces an uphill battle to win the Champions League. Tuchel's future at the club is also in doubt, with reports suggesting that he could be sacked if Bayern fail to win their remaining games.
